Start of Student Application for UMAP SSTP (Program C)
We are pleased to announce the start of student applications for the Super Short-Term Programs (SSTP) offered by member universities of UMAP. If you are interested in participating in one of these programs, please review the information in the following link about the programs’ contents, length, available credits, and tuition and other fees before applying: http://umap.org/programs/c/
The application period will run from April 6th until June 17th, 2018.
(Please note that there are two cutoff dates, where applications will arrive to the UMAP IS and be nominated to each host university, as follows: May 8th and June 17th)
To apply, please complete the following two steps before the cutoff date:

APPLICATION — Students complete the application form for the desired programs in WORD format and submit it to the UMAP Coordinators at your home university/ institution. The application form can be downloaded from the UMAP website (http://umap.org/forstudents/ ). UMAP Coordinators collect the submitted applications and send them all together to UMAP International Secretariat via email at umap-is@umap.org .

REGISTRATION — UMAP Coordinators register coordinator’s name, home university, program(s) their students would like to apply for, and other information on UMAP’s super short-term programs registration webpage in the following link: http://umap.org/members/.
*Notice to Students: please DO NOT SEND your applications directly to the UMAP International Secretariat! We will not accept them from students. Instead, please contact the UMAP Coordinator of your home university. If you do not know the person, please inquire the person in charge of the International Student Exchange at your home university.

Release of UMAP Summer Program 2018 Application and Details
Dear students who wish to apply for the UMAP Discovery Camp 2018,
The long awaited day has finally arrived! Details about the program activities, student eligibility, and application process have been finalized on the UMAP website.
This year, the program will be held on July 22 – August 4 in Bangkok, Thailand. Please check out the following leaflet for an overview of the program:
*Note that home university coordinators are requested to provide a nomination letter for their selected students to submit along with the application.

Ad Hoc Meeting in Washington D.C.
On February 19, 2018, the UMAP International Secretariat (Prof. Shingo Ashizawa) along with eight additional specialists from Canada, ISEP, U.S.A., and Japan had an ad hoc meeting at Marriot Wardman Park, Washington, D.C. Topics such as ‘promotional activities and membership development of UMAP in North America’ were discussed. The potential development of new programs which attract universities and students in North America was also introduced at the meeting.
