Indo-Pacific Regional Research Fellows: Call for Applications

The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening Canada’s relations with Asia, is currently seeking applications from researchers and scholars based in the Indo-Pacific to serve as Fellows in APF Canada’s Indo-Pacific Regional Research Program. This program is designed to deepen partnerships and engagement between Canada and countries in the Indo-Pacific region, contribute to Canadian knowledge about the region, and build trust and support regional networks.

The Indo-Pacific Regional Research Program is part of APF Canada’s new Asia-based programming, with funding support provided by the Government of Canada. Scholars selected under this program will produce and publish research on topics such as regional security issues, sustainable development, economic security and supply chain resilience, emerging technologies and innovation, energy security and the green economy, among other areas relevant to Canada’s engagement with the Indo-Pacific. Fellows will also participate in regional and Canadian events and workshops, contributing to the strengthening of Canada-Asia research networks.

Eligibility:

This initial call for applications is open to researchers from the following Indo-Pacific jurisdictions: India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, South Korea, and Taiwan.
