04-Dec-2021  Japan-Multilateral COIL/VE Project: 21st Century Skills

Kansai University’s Institute for Innovative Global Education (IIGE) is pleased to announce their newest initiative, the Japan-Multilateral COIL/VE Project.  The inaugural program takes the place of the previous UMAP-Kansai/IIGE COIL project, which was offered for the past three years.  This  new multilateral COIL Project is now open for student applications, with a deadline of January 14, 2022.  The program, focusing on “21st Century Skills,” will take place online February 7 to March 28, 2022.  

UMAP student participants must be nominated by their institutions.  Institutions must contact their National Secretariat to request the application spreadsheet and submit it on behalf of their of interested students, no later than January 14, 2022.  Institutions experiencing difficulty in connecting with their National Secretariat may request this information from the International Secretariat.

Institutions may nominate up to 10 students each.  A total of 60 UMAP students may be selected.   Instructions for completing and submitting the spreadsheet are included on the spreadsheet document.   Applications will be reviewed and selected by Kansai/IIGE.  Applicants will be notified of the results by January 25, 2022.  Additional information can be found at:
