Conversational English 5 is a 38-hour intensive course designed to enable high intermediate students to meet survival needs and social demands. The course provides students with an opportunity to practice the four communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, following the functional approach. In addition to in-class communicative activities, this course also provides for "Language on Foot" activity by allowing participants to explore areas around Manila that are of cultural and historical interest while they engage in conversational activities with their peers, teachers, tourists, and local folk. These cultural sites include the Fort Santiago in Intramuros and the National Museum. The program will be facilitated by the Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC College of Education of DLSU.
